TRAMMY LAI
Trammy has always had a strong connection to martial arts and movement. As a child, she trained in Taekwondo, eventually earning her 1st Dan black belt. Years later, while studying in New York City, she continued her training through Krav Maga, further developing confidence, situational awareness, and mental resilience. Seeking a more offensively focused discipline, she transitioned to Muay Thai, where she trained under Gianna.
While learning Muay Thai with Gianna, Trammy decided to explore Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where she was introduced to Jin. What began as curiosity gradually developed into a dedicated practice, as she became deeply drawn to the technical depth, problem-solving, and composure required on the ground. What initially felt like “just another exercise” soon evolved into a consistent practice that shaped her discipline, confidence, and approach to learning.
Through training, Trammy came to appreciate Jiu Jitsu not only as a martial art, but as a framework for personal growth—reinforcing patience, resilience, problem-solving, and emotional regulation under pressure. These lessons became especially meaningful as she progressed in her training and took on greater responsibility within the academy.
As an instructor, Trammy is particularly passionate about passing these experiences on to others. She believes Jiu Jitsu provides children with a safe, structured environment to build confidence, body awareness, respect for others, and mental toughness.
